  1. Dorothy says:

This was a tough one but as i got to thinking I would say Joshua 1:6-9 because it lets me know that God is with me whereever I go and to be strong and courageous. And that within my faith it helps me to stand up against evil and trust in God’s protection and deliverence. It gives me a desire to press on and through my faith and prayer to grow in the Lord. Also to maintain my belief in a truly real way I need to have faith and that requires me to have courage and strength. I need to get rid of my fear to have a clear understanding and to grow more in my walk with the Lord.

For quite a while Jeremiah 29:11 was my favorite verse. However, I never read any further. This verse was always in the back of my mind but I don’t think I actually trusted in what it said. Then one day I read verses 12 and 13 of Jeremiah 29. I realized I wasn’t actually seeking God or going to him in prayer. I was just waiting for a big sign to show me my entire future. At times I may slip, but I am really trying to trust in these verses…Jeremiah 29:11-13.

I think my favorate verses is currently Hebrews 13 1-2, because it reminds me to be kind and loving to those I meet. That is what Christ did. He loved each person he met. Even the ones we don’t get along with. Even those we would otherwise hate. Love each other, for any one of them may be an angel in our life.

There are so many verses that I love, but the following one I keep posted on my computer because it keeps me mindful of two very important qualities: “Do not let kindness and truth leave you. Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” (Proverbs 3:3)
