FUSION
fusion: fu·sion \?fyü-zh?n\ a: a merging of diverse, distinct, or separate elements into a unified whole (www.m-w.com)
Faith is a story. It is a story of God working in and around and through us in various ways throughout the history of the world. Ultimately it is a story of God judging, loving, and redeeming His Creation. Each of us has a diverse, distinct, and separate part of the story of God; and it is the fusion of these stories that makes the Big Island Family who we are. Over the next few weeks, several of our family members will be sharing something of their story.
In addition, there will be a “Question of the Month” which will be an opportunity for all of us to share a quick glimpse into how God has shaped our life through Jesus Christ and His Word.
In each of these, our desire is that you would join the conversation. Think of this less as a class lecture, and more like a family gathering around the dinner table and sharing what God has done in their life that day.
Meet our contributors: (This list will grow over the coming weeks!)
Chris Brown is a deacon in our church whose life has changed dramatically in the past few years. Soon after getting married, God blessed him with a daughter and then followed up that with twin boys! Shortly after the birth of his sons, Chris began a journey of discovery regarding some ailments that he was having. And now, faced with a terminal illness, Chris is still seeking God’s leading and direction in his life.
Join Chris in conversation here.

I come to Fusion today to ask for SILENT PRAYER. I’m not looking for pitty or to hear someone say they know how i feel when i know they dont. right now Im very SCAiIRED of what tomorrow brings to my life.
i know we should live for today but in my situation its hard.
i’m 42 years old and my life has come to a screeching halt due to an unexplainable heart condition. back in february i went to the drs not feeling 100% to find out that my heart had been pumping at theate of over 200 beats per minutes.norm is between 60-80 bpm. as to how long it had been pumping at that rate i cannot say because
i didnt feel anything abnormal. was taken to hosp and drs discovered that the high heart rate limited the blood flow thruoughmy body and my liver and kidney had almost completly shut down. the outlook that first night was grim. But throught the power of Prayer my kidney and liver regained their strength. the only thing that hasnt is my heart. From what i understand is that it is operating at between 10-20%. guess that is like taking a strong 8 cylinder motor and taking away 6 cylinders to only leave 2 clyinders to do the job of the origonal 8.
I now have become somewhat limited to what i can do. due to the weaked heart, running is out of the picture. and walking up hills and stairs has become rather hard.thus its condition may eventually take away the abillity to do almost any job. which for me will be hard not to be able to do what i enjoy.
PLEASE DONT FEEL SORRY FOR ME, all i’m asking is for each of you who read this just say a SILENT PRAYER, that my spirit belifted and thatHE will hold my hand during these times. And also prayers are being sent to those how are in their own unique trials, THANK YOU
