Friends,
Good evening! Hope each of you has a blessed week. My goal this morning was to look at the story of Adam and Eve in the garden and what is now known as The Fall. From this scripture, we can that there are several steps that lead humans through temptation and then sin. How we understand this can influence how we seek to win the battle against Satan and his temptations.
Consider how the battle begins with an influence outside of us, then a debate and struggle goes on within us. If we lose, and we sin, then we must deal with the consequential guilt. It is for this reason that Christ came into this world, to show us that as He did, we can overcome this world if we fully trust in Him. Also, realize that Christ, though fully divine, was also fully human and endured every trial and temptation that we do. Your thoughts?

sorry folks but this is kinda long. my brain was in overdrive today. i went driving on the parkway then pulled over and my brain went to town processing what Bryon had preached on. Oh by the way great sermon Bryon. ok the first encounter opened the door/way for satan to deny the love of God satan argued that the only way to be like God was to engage in evil thus this is still a common reason for any deadly sin when we feel guilty we can hide from other but we cannot hide from God. it this passage Genesis 3:1-8 satan had taken the opportunity to twist what God had said Satan showed up as the snake so we shall be aware at all times because satan can appear at any given time in any given form. sin involves crookedness violence lawlessness inquity wickedness offense rebellion and selfishness. sin is rebellion against God’s will with sin yes you die not necessarly physically but your soul, spirit dies. but becoming renewed in the faith and baptism and belief of God you will then become alive again. The more we sin the more we fall into the temptation and glory of satan and futher and futher away from the glory greatness and goodness of God. we need to make the right choices and not sin so why do we still sin when we know its wrong? I believe that sin is like an addiction to getting high it feels good at the moment but once it wears off it leaves us feeling worse than before but some people crave to just keep going back for more so sin then has more control over us than we have over sin. sin is satans bait it will catch us and then he will reel us in and eventuallydestory us. Now how to deal with and overcome temptation and sin? i believe and want to say we tell ourselves that i’m not responsible for my sin and that its not my fault but God tempts noone and the problem is not our external cirumstances but our internal desires this is the source of our sin then the consequences of our sin is we tell ourselves we can handle this its not hurting me or anyone else but in reality the truth is sin is not an act itsa process we are then decieved concerning the nature and character of God we believe that we’ve got to party now and have many good times then get serious with God later. we need to start thinking doing and knowing that God is good and his will always has my highest and best intrest in mind. a few ways we can overcome temptation and sin are through prayer scripture our conscience like when we know that if what we are about to do is wrong and our conscience is telling us not to do it but we want to do it because we feel that it will make us feel good or look good then don’t do that listen to your conscience and just frame from what you know is wrong walk away from what you are about to do that will cause you to sin. we need to walk with faith. Now how could Jesus overcome temptation? some scripture that helped me with this question are Luke 22:43 and matthew 26:39 Jesus was made according to the will of his father Jesus had enough knowledge I believe of his fathers will to be able to choose the right way and that he obeyed his fathers commands of that thy shall not tempt the lord thy God I think that God gave jesus the necessary human talents and guidance so that he wouldnot and he did not depart from the way of the righteouness and that he always put his fathers will before his own.
