A Word on Wednesday

I have learned to respect my youth group and also have learned to not underestimate what we can accomplish with God working alongside us. -Kevin Cheatham

I have become even closer with mostly everybody, mainly my youth. I have learned not to be afraid to share God’s word with others. From the devotion Lauren and I did made me feel more open about my faith with others. I’ve felt God’s presence with us so far this week, and I’m excited to see what else He has in store for all of us. -Taylor Eggleston

I’ve grown a lot closer to God and to everybody else here especially the youth. And pray for the rib feast to go well and pray for the construction crew…their running into a little trouble… -Ethan Wray

This week I’ve learned a something from God. Do not worry about your own downs in life for there are people out there who are a lot worse than my life.  I’ve also learned to listen and learn. We all have our flaws, so don’t dwell on them. Most of all listen to what God speaks to your heart. I have gotten closer to the youth this week and am happy I was able to make it this week. I pray that God will keep this excitement for him every day I wake up. -Kaitlyn Plott

This week I have been challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually. I feel that I am growing closer to God through the works that I am doing for him. I also feel that because I am growing closer I can overcome the challenges that I have come to this week. I also have noticed that I have growing confidence in Christ because of the different exposure that I get when I am on a mission trip. All I can hope to do is bless God with my life and let him work through me. -Lauren Fitzgerald

I think that God is working in my heart to help me love people unconditionally. I also think that we are doing a great thing by painting the school because I know that it will help many people. -Amanda Wilkes

Hey Big Island Family!  Many blessings for us as we work and minister here.   Praise God for a generous refrigerator repairman!  Pray for our rib feast Thursday – good weather and good attendance!  Oh, and pray for Sue’s son Kyle to come out Thursday night.  Thanks! -Pastor Bryon

Throughout this week, I have been trying to listen to God and be obedient to what He wants for me.  In today’s devotional, Bryon talked about forgiving and letting things go that have happened in the past.  It can be so hard to forgive because it is easier to be mad.  I feel like God is telling me that I need to let the past be the past and just forgive.  I know God has been working on me this week and I just pray that I would continue to listen. -Sarah Hunt

First of all I am so blessed about what the youth are doing. I am so proud of them. I am so thankful for their love of the Lord and to see them growing in their faith. Secondly there have been some challenges this week for me but as I have been in prayer, reading His word and doing what He had and still has for me to do I am thankful and blessed to be here in Baltimore to help God plant some seeds over this city and neighborhood.. and I feel that as we do that the Lord will do something awesome here maybe not while we are here but in the future.. What has blessed me the most is not the physical jobs we have done, but the care and love for others we have shown and still will show for them, to let them know that there are people that care about them but most of all to show them that God cares and loves them…. – Dorothy : )

This week has been amazing in every way I can think of. For starts, I became closer to God. Plus getting to work with another youth group was a new experience for me on a new mission trip. Each year I have seen me improve on my work and commitment to the trips. This year I can honestly say that I have been truly challenged physically, mentally, and spiritually.  The Lord has truly blessed me this week. God has also found me a life verse this week to. Matthew 10:28-30. =)  -Kaitlyn Plott               P.S. I would like to thank all the people who preyed for my father, MacWane . Without your prayers he may have not made it this year on the trip. Praise God for that. Thank you.=)
